Just for Laughs: David Cross keeps his humour on the edge of anger (Montreal Gazette)

David Cross is talking about audience reactions to his Making America Great Again! tour. By the time he comes off the road, he will have visited 75 cities in the U.S., Canada and Europe. His appearance at Just For Laughs this week isn’t officially a part of that tour; he’s here to host a seven-comic gala, a gig that involves seven to 10 minutes up front (“Normally some of my setups alone take seven to 10 minutes”), some interstitial bits and a wrap-up. Still, his comments on the present climate for his brand of politically engaged standup feel pertinent.
