David Cross is a controversial jack of all trades, and he knows it. In fact, the occasionally polarizing public figure he sometimes draws of himself is why he finds himself returning to stand-up. "It's solely my voice," Cross tells me while discussing his upcoming Oh Come On comedy tour. "I don't need anybody's permission." That's not to say the comic thinks being a stand-up gives him permission to say whatever he wants, of course. Yet it doesn't mean he won't explore all the possible options while performing, either.

Hey everyone, this sweet little movie I made last year deep, deep in the woods in Oregon and Washington is finally coming out! It was without question the hardest, most gruelling thing I've ever done. It's sad/happy/cathartic and visually stunning.
