$20K+ donation from ...america...great... sales to go to the ACLU (December 29, 2016)
Hey, look what we did! In the true spirit of Christ (the original version, not the American gun-loving capitalist Christ2.0 reboot) we have raised over $20,000 for the ACLU ($20,790 to be exact). This is a very good thing. You have raised 10 grand through the sale of the cds (and digital downloads) and I, as promised, am matching that.
I'm proud of all of us, especially me. And by doing this we can now indulge ourselves in a tiny bit of hubris in that we know that we have already done a good deed which can actually be proven and is not an out-and-out lie told to rubes to make us seem more charitable than we truly are.
Four out of four of the things that comprise the acronym of the ACLU will be even further under attack when that paper-thin transparency of the most blatant con man to parade down main street since Barry Minkow cleaned his first carpet, enters the White House. And as the hysterical and ignorant mock our fears and concerns about our neighbors, laughingly raising their "mugs filled with liberal tears," and as they willfully engage in tragic denial as to how completely and utterly they've been suckered, as the coffers of this country are drained dry and handed out as presents to the obscenely rich loyalists, know that we have made America a slightly better place through this.
